With the rapid development of social modernization, great recognition, concern and support are showed to the special community such as the wounded, the sick, the disabled and the weak and so on in every country of the world . Li Dongmei , the chief of the Education Division of Education Employment Department of the China's Handicapped Association, said: Along with depth of the people's idea that the disabled people should have education rights, more and more disabled people get the chance to enter the universities . In the last few years, 4,000 people have been matriculated by the domestic universities through the test every year.With the expansion enrollment ,there is an increasing number of students with special need ( the wounded , the sick, the disabled, the weak and so on) in Hunan Institute of Science and Technology. From 2002 to 2005 year, the number of the wounded, the sick, the disabled and the weak account for the proportion respectively 3.78%, 5.9%, 6.05%, 6.44%. These students' wound, sickness, disablement or weakling affected greatly their health in both physiology and psychology; At the same time, they endure more difficulties and the pressure in the social life than common people .We must seek the relative strategies and practically improve the physical quality of students with special need and care about and help them to go out of the troubles, to remould themselves, to participate in the social life positively, to realize the pursuit of life value as an equal person in the society .Not only is it gym teacher's responsibility but also it is the symbol of the social civilization and progress. In view of this issues, this article proposes an action research of PE teaching about students with special need in the Hunan institute of Science and Technology. It adopts the educational model of learning in regular class about students with special need and utilizes action research method, in virtue of questionnaire and interview. Through the research on PE teaching of students with the special need. we have got to the following conclusion: (1) It is feasible that students with special need accept PE teaching of learning in regular class ; (2) It has a positive effect on students with special need by learning in regular class in the aspects of the PE interest, the behavior, the physical restoration, the physical constitution, the psychological quality and so on; (3) It has a positive effect on the ordinary students by learning in regular classes in manner to students with special need, and in health understanding, the psychological quality and the personality form; (4) It has a good influence on teachers by learning in regular classes in the attitude to admit students with special need, to understand students with special need, to care about and help their emotion experience, the gym instructor's personality and the improvement of their teaching ability; (5) Learning in regular classes is a recommendable teaching model to PE teaching of students with special need .It has the biggest merit to help students with special need to integrate the mainstream community.
