Experiential learning originated from the most basic and natural way of learning of human being. At the late of last century, with the development of society, people put forward higher requirement of education, the traditional learning has appeared more and more shortcomings gradually, therefore Experiential learning gets the universal attention in education area.However, behind of this seemed hot trend, users have an uneven understanding of "experience". People pay closer attention to the process and technologies of Experiential learning than the content and nature of it. In the professional teaching process of social work, such phenomenon is also existed. Some teachers will organize the students to do games in class, play the role play or contact people who need service directly. But after that, new understanding, emotion and action of reflection stage which can help students don't get enough attention.This article makes a further sorting and analyzing of the experiential learning concept and characteristics on the basis of the related literature of experiential learning, Based on that, it is also conclude and generalize the philosophy hypothesis and theoretical basis of Experiential learning. Besides that, in practice, by way of experiential teaching in social work, it is opened a course of Introduction of Social Work for freshmen. And through the methods of qualitative, the course process was studied and summarized. This article also summarizes the experiential learning teaching strategies and experiential learning and social work teaching link and experiential learning to explore their significant instruction for social work education.
