Sino-us Bilateral Primary School Teacher Education Curriculum Is A Comparative Study

With the reformation of basic education developing,the quality of elementary teacher was requested to improve.It is no problem that teacher profession developing is the important way for the high-quality of teacher.People are concerning about teacher education in recent years.It is worthwhile meaningful to find a way to improve the quality of teacher education.This paper analyses the problem from curriculum aspect and tried to find the differences in elementary teacher education between China and American through comparative-oriented research on the purpose of discovering and understanding the advantage and disadvantage of elementary teacher education in our university.On that basis,the paper also makes some suggestions to the reforming of curriculum of elementary teacher education in our university.The paper compares the curriculum of teacher education between the College of Education in Michigan State University and Elementary Educational College of Capital Normal University from the aspect of objective,structure and content.There are many differences in the three aspects and shortage of our university's teacher education is the unreasonable structure,the lack of education curriculum,stuffy content and unsubstantial student teaching.This paper's objective is to improve curriculum of elementary teacher education in our university by the experiences of College of Education in Michigan State University.The curriculum of elementary teacher education in our university should mostly be reformed in structure,content and student teaching,while the key point is to improve the effect which curriculum brings to the future elementary teacher.
