Most of the written history is the "elite history" of ancient Chinese emperors. The history of the bottom of the public is too often neglected. However, oral history can make up for this shortcoming, which tends to explore the history of those who have been neglected by "big history." In this paper, oral history and life history will be combined to describe the life history of a Muslim family in a Tibetan community, to demonstrate the complexity and diversity of the Ethnic Relations and social organization in the north-west part of China through their life history and to explore how individuals memorize the difficult process and means of the social changes in modern Chinese society. This paper holds that history is not only the happened things, but the past in people's imagination, namely, memory is essentially based on the present and a reconstruction of the past and individual memory needs the realistic stimulation and conditions to reshape and selectively preserve the past.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, focusing on account of the origin of the study, the relevant theory, the subject of discussion and research methods. The second part of this paper dates back to the first generation of Mu family. Their descriptions present a close interaction between the individual life and the great political, social movements. The third part and the fourth part are in-depth description life experiences of the second and the third generation of Mu family settled in Langmusi, which is the core of this study.It presents the process of seeking for life of Mu family and the multiple and complex relations of the historical memory and the reality hit, the center and the edge, other group and my group, as well as individuals of different cultures within the family It is located in a complete picture of the Tibetan communities in the Muslim family in historical memory and reality hit, of his group with my group. The fifth part is the conclusion. This paper holds that the history of Mu family is a history in which the family survives under the various forces of history. The construction of group identity and expression is always affected by specific social, political and cultural contexts and so on. Acceptance and rejection are processes of concomitant in which there must hide a struggle for the grassland, land and other limited resources.
