| With the widely use of informational technology in education, informational technology integrated into education has been greatly promoted, and modern distance education presents a prosperous vision. Virtual learning community has been already come into people's daily life. Learners have the call in virtual learning community. It is their sense of belonging to virtual learning communities that determines learners' identity of virtual learning communities and affects their learning initiative. The research mainly concentrates on the factors which affect sense of belonging in virtual learning community.First, the paper has analyzed and clarified the relegated concepts regarding virtual learning community, and make clear of factors which affect sense of belong in virtual learning community. In the following, on the basis of investigating on 1200 college students in Shaanxi Normal University and 600 students in web-based virtual learning community to explore the sense of belonging. And then make analysis on the data from investigated samples. In the end, through comparing the sense of belonging between students in traditional schools and virtual learning community, the paper deeply analyzes the factors which affect sense of belonging in virtual learning community. On the basis of analysis, the paper makes some directions of virtual learning community construction.This thesis consists of 6 chapters:Chapter One: Introduction. This chapter mainly introduces the background of the research, the significant meaning and means it takes, as well as the relevant concepts and the gist of the subject.Chapter Two: Summarize of the former relevant research conclusion. This chapter focuses on the function, the effective factors of sense of belonging, as well as the relations between these factors and other educational elements. Also, there are some papers which have studied the sense of belonging through scale.Chapter Three: introduce the main functions of the virtual learning community. Through introduction of the five main functions of the virtual learning community, the thesis emphasizes more on the importance of the research.Chapter Four: Frame the gauge for the sense of belonging in virtual learning community, and survey on the sense of belonging both in school and virtual community, then collect and process and analyze the data.Chapter Five: Compare the features of the school sense of belonging to it is in the virtual learning community. And analyze the functional elements of virtual learning communities. On the basis of analysis, the thesis has listed some strategies for improving the sense of belonging in virtual learning communities.Chapter Six: Summarize and prospect. Summarize the process and state of the research and make a prospect to the future. |
