The paper's title is a study of cooperative learning on Middle English class. In David W. Johnson and Roger T. Johnson's opinion, cooperative learning is learning together by group to obtain a same goal in order to make the individuals and the other students in groups attain the best achievements. The paper centers on the problems in implementing cooperative learning, further from teachers put forward strategies of solving the problems.Firstly, in the first chapter, the need for the study on cooperative learning was proposed. And the second chapter reviewed the academic achievements of cooperative learning at home and abroad.And then, in the third chapter, some problems were analyzed, such as diffusing of responsibilities, lacking cooperative consciousness and cooperative skills; Subsequently, the inner factors were discussed, such as designing cooperative tasks improperly, dividing groups too casually, failing to organize, guiding and supervising the course of cooperative learning appropriately, evaluating cooperative learning subjectively and roughly, no enough time given to students to finish the tasks. And this chapter also mentioned the exterior factors, such as the inertia of exam-oriented education, the limit of time, falling short of school leaders'powerful support and so on.The last chapter mainly discussed the exterior condition of implementing cooperative learning and the inner strategies of teachers'solving the problems. First, constructing school-oriented research and study supplies the institutional guarantee with the teachers; Second, teachers'cooperative consciousness and concept is the base of solving the problems and then I put up with corresponding strategies from designing cooperative tasks, dividing groups, organizing, guiding ,supervising and evaluating cooperative learning .
