The curriculum reform of elementary education across the world raises the tide again in the new century. At the same time, the new curriculum reform of music is deepening in China. In 2003, the implementation of the Standards for Music Curriculum of Ordinary High School (Experiment), which was formally promulgated in 2003, marks a new stage of elementary education reform in China. The reform of music curriculum is the component part of elementary education reform, while the reform of music curriculum in high school is the important component part of the reform of music curriculum in elementary education. As the new music genre of the 20th century, the film and television music has its own characteristics as well as the generality of music. It has entered into the music classroom quietly and played an important role in the cultural life of people. The film and television music refers to the music composed for films and TV plays and is an important component part of synthetic arts of films and TV plays. Its performance (singing) is synthesized with dialogue and acoustics into a vocal cords through recording and can be perceived by the audience when the films and TV plays are being showed. The target of the new curriculum reformation is to successfully train qualified citizen with overall individuality and adaptability in the future of society, which depend on the optimization of class teaching. and it should also be incarnated through the teaching effect.Looking on implemental the new curriculum as a cut-in point, this thesis explores and studies the theory and practice of the music class effective teaching. In this thesis, the author indicates some absolutely necessarily ability for music teacher during implement the music class effective teaching.This thesis is composed of three chapters. Chapter 1: Necessity of the Research on the Movie and Television Music Application in the Teaching of Music and Feasibility Study. Chapter 2: Analysis of Exploration on the Function of Movie and Television Music in the Teaching of New Music Curriculum for General High School. Chapter 3: Reflection and Practice Research on the Film and Television Music in the Teaching of New Music Curriculum for General High School.
