Ming Dynasty Imperial Examination System, As Well As The Inspiration For Today's College Entrance Examination Reform

This study is belong of the study of history of education, which will review the development process of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty. Try to analyze objectively and materialisticly of development and changes about the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty, and sum up objectively and fair the value of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty. From this, the study will provide some academic knowledge and example to the University Entrance Examination System. The study is propitious to the reform and development of the University Entrance Examination System.The development process of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty can be divided into three stages. Namely, at the early period of Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Civil Examination had been hold unsteadily; at the mid-term of Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty had completely finished in its essentials; at the late period of Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty had reached perfection stage. It had had a profound effect in whole education and society of Ming Dynasty. Meanwhile, the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty had exposed gradually to abuses, and then been the rigidity. There are many both similarities and differences between the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty and today's University Entrance Examination System. Since 1977, University Entrance Examination had started again in China, it is 30 years. In these 30 years, the University Entrance Examination System has had many times reforms. Especially in1990s, the efforts of reform have been strengthened. At present, China's University Entrance Examination System has been quite mature and perfect. On anther hand, there are many problems of the University Entrance Examination System. The main problem is the current reform direction of the University Entrance Examination System. We have gotten the enlightenment to this problem from the research and investigation of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty.The dissertation consists of three foundational sections. At first the thesis has an overview of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty to describe its characteristics. Then the following section has sum up the characteristics of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty, and analyzes the changes of them. Try to find the value of the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty. The last section is an analysis of that the Imperial Civil Examination System of Ming Dynasty's enlightenment to current the University Entrance Examination System.
