The promotion of construction of a learning society and long-life education has given new tasks to community education and required reform of the community educators urgently to make them more professional. But there are still many problems in the rank of community educators; they have a long way to go to become professional. In order to ensure the community education activities on the rails, how to put up a professional community educators in a group has become a burning question of current community education development. However, looking back Chinese contemporary community education research highlight, they have made some achievements and breakthroughs, but on the issue of community educators have not got enough emphasis on the theoretical circle. Although a lot of academic research referred to the problem of community educators, few study goes on more systematically and more in-depth. In this paper, the writer-attempts to study the professional practice construction of the community educators in the term of the professionalism, based on the current status of professionalism of them, puts forward the promotion of professional development of community educators.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. This part analyses the background presented in this paper, collects and studies a large number of domestic and foreign research results, and puts forward the basic structure of this paper and research methods.The second part introduces the concepts of community educator's professionalization. On the base of "occupation", "professional", "professional standards", " professionalization" and so on in academic circles, analyze the content of "community educator's professionalization ", and define the point of "whether the community educator is a professional career".The third part is the professional competencies system construction for the community educators. Points out the requirements of professional educators on the community professionation.The professional competencies system concludes professional knowledge, professional skills and professional affection.The fourth part, through the collation and use the research reports of the past decade on community educators group and the status of community educators, analyses the problems in construction of the community educators group, summarizes the current status of community educators' professional status, including weakness of professional knowledge system, shallowness concept of professional ethics, lack of awareness of professional development, lack of professional autonomy, fewness of professional organizations etc. The fifth part proposes the suggestion of improving the community educators'professional competencies. Under the guidance of advanced community education theory, through the government, community and community educators' joint efforts, the professional competencies of community educator will be highly improved,while it will promote the professionalization of the community educators.
