With the gradual progress of educational informationization,information technology which is centering on computer technology and multimedia technology has been rapidly growing popularity, expanding and applying in education. At the same time, it has changed the presentation of teaching content, the learning way of students, the teaching methods of teachers and the interactive between student and teacher. However, according to the author reading the literature and the discussions about "How the effectiveness of PPT to support teaching?" between teachers in Guizhou Province who participate in educational technology network training in class 10 of No.2, the author find that the effectiveness of PPT courseware to assist subject teaching is not ideal.The reasons are not only productions, but also usages. It is for these reasons that make the advantages of PPT courseware in teaching are not fully realized, and obstruct the course of information technology and curriculum to get a deep integration, and affect the effectiveness of classroom teaching. Therefore, how to help the teachers out of the misunderstandings that exist in PPT courseware production and application will became an important issue faced the majority of teachers currently,so that we can fully use the advantages of information technology, and make it truly become a powerful learning tool for students.Biology is an integral part of High School Curriculum, If we clarify the misunderstandings in the PPT Courseware's production and application, and find out the measures to out of these misunderstandings, it is not only in favor of improving the effectiveness of PPT courseware to assist biology teaching, but also in favor of promoting the integration of information technology and biology to get a sustainable development.My thesis is divided into four parts:PartⅠ:Misunderstandings'AnalysisIn order to understand the status of PPT courseware to assist high school biology teaching, this study take teachers and students in some Xi'an middle school as the object of survey. It investigates and analyzes the misunderstandings of biology's PPT courseware in production and application, and it summarizes the education reform proposals of the students and teachers to improve the PPT courseware in teaching of biology.PartⅡ:Analysis of Courseware developmentThe content, methods, strategy and process of teachers'teaching are all reflected in the PPT Courseware. If we pay attention to avoid the misunderstandings of PPT courseware in production and application when developing courseware, wewe can not only kill the misunderstandings in the bud,but also can improve the effectiveness of PPT courseware to assist biology teaching.In this study, the process of courseware development is divided into five steps, namely, needs analysis, instructional design, script design, courseware development, evaluation and modification. If we do need analysis, we can avoid the blindness of PPT courseware's using. If we do needs instructional design, it is of great benefit for teachers to nail down Important and difficult point according to teaching content and teaching objectives and Analysis of learning, and it is also benefit for teachers to select appropriate media and teaching strategies to present the lessons, so that it can promote the style of learning and teaching and teacher-student's interaction to change.Between the stage of script design and the stage of courseware development, teachers can avoid lots of misunderstandings when they make courseware, if they are guided by the'principles of educational psychology, visual communication design theory, constructivist learning theory and cognitive load theory. Evaluation and modify run through the other four stages of courseware development, and they are propitious to constantly improve the PPT courseware, so that PPT courseware will be more fit the practical needs of teaching.PartⅢ:The Case of Courseware development and ApplicationIn order to verify whether the courseware avoid mistakes in PPT coursewares' development and application through above-mentioned five steps, this study guides for the front line biology teachers to develop the PPT courseware of "principle of photosynthesis",and then applying it to specific teaching practice. After this cased-courseware was used in a practical classroom teaching, the author conducted a survey with students and a interview with a teacher once again, and summarized the successes and shortcomings of the case study.PartⅣ:Giving proposalsFrom the summary of Biology teaching's survey with PPT courseware in some middle school in Xi'an and the teaching practice of "The principle of photosynthesis",This study founds the following teaching suggestions:Coursewares'application is based on demand rather than advantages. Coursewares' design can not do without the guidance of instructional design. Coursewares' development should be guided by the relevant principle. Courseware should be combined with traditional teaching methods. We should pay attention to the rhythm of courseware switch. We can't replace the teaching experiment with courseware. We can not ignore the dominance of teachers.
