Since the 1970s, aging of the population has become a common trend around the world. From the regional differences of view, the city's aging occurred much earlier, but even more serious. In this context, the pension issues, especially for citizen residents has become the focus of our social life. At the same time, Family structure in China is also undergoing profound changes as well as the inter-relationship. So the family of the parent-child relations is turning to the horizontal axis from the longitudinal axis of the couple. Under these circumstances, to make a longitudinal analysis of inter-generational difference is clearly necessary. To solve these problems whether there are inter-generational difference on the notion of elderly support? Whether the difference is significant? What are the factors affecting the difference and how is the intergenerational interaction status? Saving these problems will not only provide new ideas to improve the ensure system for the aged in china undoubtedly, but also have an important theoretical and practical significance in promoting the harmoniousness of intergenerational. This paper makes the comparative analysis of survey, establishes the relevant models, uses the regression analysis method to explore the reasons that influence the notion of provide for the aged residents which appears differently inter-generations and reflects the intergenerational differences existed in the idea of pension in-depth and proposes the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the survey on notion of citizen elderly pension of A city of Inner Mongolia. This study shows that the notion of citizen elderly has changed already; inter-generational differences are significant and are embodied in the notion of financial support, life care and emotional comfort. The logistic regression analysis on factors influencing the inter-generational differences on notion of provide for the aged shows that income, education and quantity of children are the main factors influencing the inter-generational differences on notion of provide for the aged.In addition, this study finds out that the traditional notion of provide for the aged has shaken which making the dependence of parental generation reduce while increasing dependence on society, reflecting more tolerance and understanding from parents-children relationship.
