| Population aging is a social problem which attached extensive attention by world today. The statistic data from the fifth population census of China show that the proportion of the aged (over 60) to the total population in China is 10.2%, which means that China has become an aged society. Nowadays, the social insurance is underdevelopment in this developing rural area, and the traditional family-provide for the aged faced great challenges. So , it's very theoretical and practical significance to systematically research family-provide for the aged.This paper analyses and researches the reasons, the processes and the results on the changes of the family-provide for the aged in rural communities with case of lvliang district lying in an undeveloped area. On the study the changes of the family-provide for the aged in rural community is from four dimensionality by explaining the moving and floating of the population, the changes on the scale and structure of the family, the changes on the connection of the generation relationship and the changes on the value and conception. Finally, the author put forward to open up a new patterns "quaternary" and type-network of the family, individual, community and government for the family-provide for the aged in accordance with the results on the changes of this phenomena in rural community and the present situations such as the poor civilization of material and moral and the difficulty in supporting the aged by oneself .The results include the traditional family confronted with the challenges, the changing of the family relationships from the parenthood to the spouse, the tendency and separation of the carvers and contents, the changing of the conception and the aggravating of the tendency of "Kongchao"of the family-provide for the aged .This new pattern not only makes up the necessary and feasibility but also accords with the basic tendency of the development and evolution of the family-provide for the aged.
