Based on the data from investigation in Wuhan city, the thesis describes citizen's attitude of different generations towards care giving for the aged and analyses the tendency of it from three aspects, including cognitive trend, emotional trend and action choice. Then it analyses the micro-influential factors of action choice of different generations. At last, it summarizes the conclusions of the research and compares the generational characteristics of citizen's attitude towards care giving for the aged. The paper includes five parts.The first part explicates the background of this research, reviews related literatures, points out the limits of those researches and introduces the purpose and the meaning of the research.The second part demarcates the concerned conceptions, introduces the related theories and demonstrates the research design and the way of collecting information.The third part analyzes the data by the method of cross-classification, two-tailed test and one-way analysis of variance. The paper compares generational attitude towards care giving for the aged from four aspects, which includes cognitive condition, emotional degree, the choice of different style of support, and the way of housing. According to the research, conclusion can be drawn that the difference reflects on the change of degree to the weight of different style of support, which is not the essential distinction. Generation gaps are enlarged between the youth and the old, but decreased between the middle and the old.The forth part analyses the main influential factors by the way of multiple linear regressions and logistic regression, choosing variables from the aspects of personal characteristics, family characteristics, value of care for the aged, cognition for caring the aged and the emotional trend to different support styles of caring the aged. It has been concluded that value of caring for the aged, personal capital characteristics and the age have the notable affection to the dependent variable.The fifth part is the conclusion and discussion. The basic conclusions are drawn. The defects are put into light. The suggestions are provided.
