Wushu which is also called Chinese martial art is the quintessence of Chinese culture with long history. Wushu has extensive and profound implication, it is the pride of our nation and one of the most important valuable cultural heritages which has been accumulated and enriched in the process of social works. Wushu which mainly grows from the soil of our vast rural areas is a traditional sports item with broad foundations. It is one important component of intangible cultural heritages, and there were many Wushu items in the list of national intangible cultural heritage of year 2006 and 2008.Shengfang town located in Hebei province is a famous port with long history, it has very developed economy, people in this town have very colorful folklife, in which the shengfang Huahui and folk Wushu is the most popular one. Shengfang folk Wushu is a civil martial art rised in the shengfang area with distinct style and national feature, it is one essential part of shengfang's traditional culture and folk life. And It forms the body cultural circumstance of shengfang. The reason of their fondness for Wushu is because people in shengfang treat wushu as one of their basic things in daily lives. As a complex folk item, shengfang wushu has very broad foundations among people, wushu has become the essential part of their lives with local historical culture and ethics morality, etc.This paper analyses folk wushu and folklife in shengfang area from different aspects including shengfang's natural environment, social and cultural environment, wushu's history and origin, shengfang wushu societies and their locations in shengfang town, etc. In addition to all these aspects, this paper also describes the process of shengfang wushu's progress and changes and combination with shengfang huahui and folklife. At last, this paper mainly explores and discusses from the points of view including Leisure,entertainment,Fitness; shengfang Huahui; shengfang trade tradition; shengfang people's family and neighbourhood, and the relation between shengfang folk wushu and local traditional cuture,etc. in order to seek for the deep cultural implication of shengfang wushu and to explore the combination of this two different things, to show readers a more realistic shengfang wushu situation, and to make readers have a better understanding of folk wushu and folklife in shengfang with the hope of a more accurate prediction of shengfang folk wushu. In the long time social activities and lives, wushu has become more and more bound up with the folklife as a entertainment way and a distinct local culture, which is the reason shengfang folk wushu rooted here and got continuous development.
