Secondary vocational education is an indispensable part of our educational system in China.The school life in vocational school is also an important course for the vocational school students in their process of their growth. In this critical period , what the students need is not only the techniques and the skills for their survival in future, but also a growing and robust mind. Chinese teaching which incorporates instrumental and humanistic characteristics plays an important role in this process. But we have to admit that Chinese teaching in secondary vocational school, especially in Engineering Secondary Vocational School, faces all sorts of predicaments and problems.The author thinks the reason is that many of our teachers have problems in their view of students and the location of Chinese teaching. So, on the basis of extensive reading and thinking, the author tries to link up theory with practice to explore an effective way in Chinese teaching from the perspective of Differentiated Development Instruction .By doing so, the author hopes to provide a useful reference for Chinese teaching in secondary vocational school.The thesis consists of five part.Part One defines some relevant concepts on this research and some confusable ones are analyzed and compared. It also discusses the related theoretical basis on this research in the view of psychology , pedagogics and teaching research.Part Two describes the characteristics of the students and Chinese teaching and analyzes current teaching situations in secondary vocational school. These are all realistic basis for our research.Part Three is a kind of theoretical thinking based on the above theoretical and realistic foundations. It raises three problems in Chinese teaching in vocational school which require the most emphasis and attention. First, give prominence to teaching characteristics and the feeling of Chinese, increase teaching interest, and link them with the students'life and major. Second, pay attention to the value of Chinese in the lifelong development to students in vocational school and make Chinese play an important role in fostering and conducting a person, starting a career to the vocational school students.Third, pay attention to the group difference and the individual difference.The former provides an important research background for us. And promoting the development of the individual difference provides an important latitude for us. Part Four highlights concrete implementations of differentiated development instruction of Chinese teaching, combined with teaching practice. The steps are as follows: approach the students---understand the difference for development; teaching design--- aim at the difference to advance development; teaching process---respect the difference to pay attention to development; result assessment---share the difference. It describes specific ways, principles and problems needing attention.Part Five shows some ideas, behaviors and reflections in our teaching research and practice, taking comprehensive practical Chinese teaching Come into Qing Dao as the case.
