Secondary vocational school is an important component of secondary education in China with its aim to transport qualified employees to all walks of life.So it has been given an important mission.In recent years,with the continuous expansion of colleges and universities,the number of enrollment in secondary vocational schools has increased year by year with a result of squeezing effect on these schools' enrollment.It also causes the decrease of enrollment quality and affects educational and teaching quality in secondary vocational schools.Chinese,as a basic critical subject in school teaching,is also inevitably affected.Then in 2004,according to the professional features of different schools, QingDao Bureau of Education and QingDao Vocational Education Staff Room divided all the vocational schools in QingDao into Engineering School(computer, electronic electrics,Electromechanical and transportation majors) and Non-Engineering School(tourism,foreign affairs,service and financial accounting majors). Culture courses in Engineering Schools have been further compressed to highlight their professional features.Because of the limitation of professional features and large number of male students,secondary schools have unique phenomenon of"male students class".At the same time,a lot of elements not conducive to Chinese learning among boys make little effect in Chinese teaching in engineering schools.This article puts forward corresponding solution strategies through analyzing current situation of Chinese teaching and physiological and psychological elements not conducive to Chinese learning among boys in secondary vocational schools.A lot of problems in Chinese teaching in male student classes exist not only in garble location,improper selection and use of teaching materials,traditional and uneffective evaluation means from the institutional level but also the boy's motivation, interest and habit in learning Chinese.It is difficult for us to change the institutional situation essentially in one day from the realistic and practical point of view.So it is necessary for us to embark from the class teaching level.Considering the professional features of engineering schools and relatively poor Chinese accomplishment,we should put emphasis on how to make up for the boy's Chinese accomplishment and practical cultivating and shaping with consideration of the students' future employment and their relative professions.To accomplish the above targets,we must establish and arouse the students' correct learning motivation,carry out reasonable reading training and guidance, strengthen spoken application training relative to specialized professions,emphasize writing training in applied and practical style.From the above attempts,we can give the boys some supplement to some extent in basic Chinese accomplishment so that we can make Chinese class play a basic role in secondary vocational schools and help the students make full preparation for their future practice and employment.
