In recent years, people pay more attention and concern to the traditional culture, Chinese classical reading upsurge has raised as a response to the time's calling, so the ancient cultural and classics re-entered people's vision. From the beginning of the civil behavior to a social phenomenon Chinese classical reading is gradually warming up, in which children's reading is no doubt a typical representation of this phenomenon. In theory, this thesis approached both social function and education function of Chinese classical reading through the collation and analysis of arguments, and in practice, this thesis chose the classical reading curriculum of beijing fuxue primary school as a case to do an investigation of the whole process, in order to enrich the modern significance of traditional education and do some help to the classical reading education in primary in our country.The main research methods of this thesis are literature, interviews, questionnaires and observation. literature contains literature, documents of the school in case, meeting minutes and publications collection of children classical reading; interview objects are mainly four kinds of people, including school leaders in charge of teaching, teachers in charge of Chinese classical reading, the students, the parents; questionnaire which is delivered to the third and fourth grades students of the school in case is mainly used for collecting the information of attitude, selection and expectation of teaching method from, observation is mainly used in observing and recording the campus environment, culture atmosphere, teaching method, the response of students.There are three chapters in this thesis. In chapterⅠ,Ⅰsort out arguments about Chinese classical reading, then summed up its social function and education function from the supporting point of view and analyzed the problem it may be facing through the voices of doubt.By analyzing the background of contemporary children's Chinese classical reading and children's characteristics, pointing that the issue is "how to read" rather than "whether to read"; in chapterⅡ,Ⅰdid a case study about Chinese classical reading curriculum of "Beijing fuxue primary school", the main contents included curriculum objective, content selection, implementation, teacher status, evaluation methods, and the education effectiveness; in chapterⅢ,Ⅰdid some study about the characteristics of Chinese classic reading in primary school by analyzing the advantage and the disadvantage of the case; at last,Ⅰdraw some inspiration from the case study, pointing that the education authorities should strengthen the assessment of reading materials,teachers should rise their cultural attainment in order to do a good job in classical education including "passing on principle, teaching skills, answering questions", combining reading with supporting activities in order to highlight the role of hidden curriculum and communicating with parents so that making home-school combination to promote the infiltration of classical reading. These several aspects above can work together to lead the classical reading in primary school to a healthy development.
