Chinese language is one of the most beautiful languages around the world, which accumulates profound cultural heritage and cultural value. So through studying Chinese we can obtain the essence of our language possess the emotion of nationalism and adore the national culture and national spirit to improve our personality. Chinese language itself is not only a carrier of culture, but also the composition of culture. And Chinese education in essence is a process of cultural transmission and a process of cultivating disposition, shaping souls and motivating human beings potential. The process of student studying Chinese is the process of deepening student's national sentiment, arousing student's national consciousness, developing national thought and shaping national spirit. The essence of a language is not a kind of tool, but a kind of cultural and historical spirit.However, with foreign cultural infiltration, more and more Chinese students are keen on foreign culture, and far away from our traditional culture and even have a sense of indifference to our traditional culture. The present teenagers know little about their traditional culture, so they are getting farther and farther away from traditional culture. As a Chinese teacher, it is a worthy and serious issue to think about how to promote Chinese traditional culture, how to stimulate the people's patriotic feelings, and especially how to transmit traditional culture to the students in Chinese teaching better.This dissertation will explore ways of transmitting traditional culture from micro and macro aspects. The macro aspects include changing evaluation methods of Chinese, choosing teaching materials elaborately and mining traditional culture in the present teaching material and so on. As for teaching practice, the main methods are guiding students to read classic and explaining the classic by using aesthetic theory from the multi-angle. What's more, with the help of modern multi-media technology, I will update the teaching theory, reform teaching methods create cultural teaching situations in class, build research-based learning platform to keep cultural heritage and improve cultural attainment. Besides, I will regard traditional festivals as an opportunity to educate students about our tradition.Through a series of practical activities in and after Chinese class, we spare no efforts to pursue the connections between teaching Chinese and promotion of national culture, and to study a new language teaching approach keeping in line with new situation.
