This thesis mainly focused on the principle, design and application of the digital signal processing which was based on oversampling converter. Firstly discussed the quantify and quantization noise of traditional PCM A/D modulator. To improve quantization SNR, we discussed the structure and performance of increment modulator, first-order sigma-delta modulator, second-order sigma-delta modulator and high order sigma-delta modulators. Reviewed the digital filters' structure and design concisely. Discussed and compared three design methods of linear phase FIR filter particularly. Emphasized on the design of multilevel decimation and multilevel interpolation, devised many schematics to simplify the design and made the design approaching optimization. Finally we designed a minor measurement system with sigma-delta ADC AD7730 as core device and summarized some experience on software and hardware design.
