Wireless Ad Hoc Network Management - Snmp-based Agent Software Design And Implementation,

From the very beginning, the application of the Wireless LAN Standard IEEE 802.11 has increased in unprecedented speed. Taking the advantage of mobile wireless networks, IP networks and Ad Hoc networks, we bring forward Wireless Self-organized Network and realize it. It's a multi-hop mobile network which focuses on Kernel Tree Routing Protocol. The object of this paper is to present the realization of SNMP agent software which bases on WR in this Wireless Self-organized network. In this paper, I simply introduced the SNMP protocol and its interrelated content. At the same time, I discuss the theory and realization of agent system which mainly based on SNMPv1。It includes MIB prescribed by IEEE 802.11b standard, from the most basal SNMP theory to the realized code details. The content of this paper includes:Chapter 1 is the foreword. It summarizes the network management, simply describes network management and works finished by this paper.Chapter 2 tells about SNMP protocol. It mainly discusses the SNMP protocol and its interrelated content, for example, SMI, MIB and etc.Chapter 3 is about IEEE 802.11 MIB and the construction of network management system. 802.11 MIB for our Wireless Self-organized Network and its correlated contents are mainly discussed here.The content of the 4th chapter is about MIB realization process. At first, I tell about the disposal of MIB's different variables. Then I tell of how to handle the 802.11 MIB variables in the software.In the 5th chapter, I discuss the materialization of the main agent software and mainly present SNMP agent software's main frame and its realization, including the change on the packet of SNMP.The 6th chapter mainly tells about a simple client realization program and part experiment outcome.The last part is also the 7th chapter, I conclude all the above succinctly.
