| Communication Controller is an important component part of communicationcontrol equipment of Fieldbus Control System. It is used to carry out the low layerprotocol of Fieldbus Control System. At present, in order to decrease the burden of mainCPU, the low layer communication protocol is carried out by special hardware. Therefore,the cost of Communication Controller is very high.In this paper, the design of Foundation Fielbus Communication Controller basedon microcontroller is mainly described. Foundation Fieldbus and its existingCommunication Controller are analyzed firstly in this paper. According to the feature ofthe existing Communication Controller, the Foundation Fieldbus CommunicationController is designed with microcontroller C8051F310. At the some time, the Serial Portdebugging system based on VB is designed to debug the designed CommunicationController. In addition, some model disturbance programs are designed to test thereliability of designed Communication Controller. Last but not least, the designedCommunication Controller is tested and the results of test are given.The results of experiment show that the designed Communication Controller notonly can realize the low layer protocol of Foundation Fildbus but also has high reliability. |
