Optical space communication becomes a new direction of the optical communication because of its advantages such as broad bandwidth, high bit rate, high security and good performance on anti-jamming. Except all the advantages above, the narrow beam width leads to challenges on pointing, so it is very important to make effort on the study of acquisition, pointing and tracking-APT.Far communication space (500Km~36000Km) .narrow beam (700urad) and vibrating terminal restrict the APT system. How to acquire the opposing terminal, initiate optical beam link and hold security communication is one of the most important question of optical space communication.This paper discuss the technology of optical communication tracking,and emphasize on restraining the noise and improving the precision of tracking. I implement hardware and software design of the APT system. This base on the technology of CCD detection, signal process in FPGA, NIOS2 soft-core and digital control.APT system base on connection of high frame frequency CCD and realtime process.lf using general process chip, the circuit will be very involuted and not enough to suffice the realtime request. The NIOS2 soft-core is not only suffice the operation request but also reduce size of the system.So I select NIOS2 soft-core to implement the APT system.The study on this sample and the APT system is a new try in the optical communication field. It provides a feasible way to study the Optical space communication terminal.
