Study On The Diversified Development Strategy Of Shanxi Coal Enterprises

In China coal lies in main position of energetic structure, and it is the foundation of national economy development and the achievement of national security. In recent years, coal companies in China have faced the bigger crisis, opportunities,as well as challenges than ever before due to the impact of international financial crisis and the adjustment of national economic structure after the golden 10 years. Because of the coal industry’s slump, competition between domestic large coal institutions has become far too strong, which leads to the need of great changes in the industry. Yangquan, as the first super-large state-owned enterprise in China, as well as China’s largest production base of anthracite coal, its coal plays a very important role in the energy sector. The problem rises how to adapt to the external environment for Yangquan being a resource-based enterprise. The answer would be to exert their own advantages, enhance competitiveness, accelerate the development of coal enterprise transformation, which attach an great significance to the survival and development of Yangquan.In this paper, the development environment and industrial structure of Yangquan Group will be researched,by analyzing the internal and external enterprise environment, the advantages and disadvantages of, and how to deal with challenges in the face of crisis. I refer to a large number of data, using the theory of diversification strategy, collect related information, study and formulate the development strategy of the Yangquan coal group. With coal as the base, the diversified industries can develop itself steadily. In the international financial crisis and under the influence of domestic economic restructuring, we can vigorously develop the coal industry, and realize the sustainable development of Yangquan coal group. At the end of this paper, a series of strategies about the coal companies will be proposed.
