A Study On Tourism Evolution Of Huayao Dai Traditional Cultural Preservation Zone In

Recently, with the developing of China’s tourism and the changing travel concept, many scenic spots based on ethnic minority villages have been emerging whose key tourist attractions are the rich ethnic customs and the beautiful natural scenery. Usually, millions of tourists are attracted by the experience-oriented tourism products, which is a great contribution to the economic and social development of the ethnic regions. Dabinglangyuan (A village where the people of a branch of Dai ethnic group lives) Traditional Culture Reserve, among those emerging ethnic minority villages mentioned above, has become a hot tourist destination, whose tourism evolutionary process is typical in the ethnic regions tourism developing.Based on the Evolutionary Economics and Resort Life Cycle theories as well as the data gained from the spot investigation, an empirical study was made on the tourism evolutionary process and mechanism of Dabinglangyuan Traditional Culture Reserve.Firstly, a proper definition of Traditional Culture Reserve and Tourism Evolution are made based on the theories and the references.Secondly, guided by the evolutionary theory, the tourism evolutionary process and mechanism of Dabinglangyuan Traditional Culture Reserve has been segmented and its resort life cycle has been identified. With the analysis on its tourism evolutionary mechanism, both the internal and the external impetus are identified, as well as its path dependence.Thirdly, a prediction on its evolution trend is made after the summarizing its tourism evolutionary progress. Finally, the short comings during its tourism evolutionary progress are pointed out as well as the solutions.
