With the liberalization of interest rate, fast development of Internet financial and the “new normal” for China economy, commercial banks in China are coming across more and more opportunities and challenges. What’s worse, it is impossible to improve bank’s operation performance with traditional ways. As we all know, human capital’s influence on economic has passed the other kinds of capital, playing more and more important role in improving bank’s operation performance.Based on the database of thirteen listed bank’s database from annual reports for three years, it firstly analyzed the roles that human capital played for bank’s comprehensive operation performance, secondly did analysis on the roles human capital played for bank’s characteristic operation performance, and thirdly gave suggestions on investment and stimulation of human capital. In terms of the measurement for the volume of human capital, it used education method to give an evaluation of its average level. As for bank’s operation performance, it preferred comprehensive index to financial which were often used previously to measure statements of corporation’s running performance. This paper also categorized banks into two kinds, which is national commercial and joint-equity commercial bank, then worked out the different outcomes human capital played because of their different backgrounds, scales and structures and finally gave diverse efficient ways to improve the level of human capital.
