Research On Emotional Management Of International Outsourcing Software Project

With the rapid development of economic globalization and information technology, people need to change and the product life cycles shorten all the time. "The global village" is becoming the truth. Multinational corporations, especially those are depend on very comprehensive IT information systems, for the needs of the market or cost considerations, often take offshore software outsourcing service. In their implementation process of international software outsourcing projects, project management is facing a lot of complexity. Due to the difference of the project team members’nationality, mother language, culture, religious beliefs, time difference and national law, this brings a lot of difficulties to communicate and all sorts of pressure to the project implementation. The psychology of the members of the project team, and the team will be affected accordingly, which makes more difficulties of project management. In recent years, more and more researchers have pointed out that, the human resources, physical and psychological assets should also be implemented as an important indicator of project performance evaluation, especially for non-manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, emotion analysis and emotion management in the implementation process of international software outsourcing projects have become very hot in project management area, and also draw much attention in the international software outsourcing project management practices.Research work of this article is part of the cooperative project "Affective Computing, Emotion Management and Application" between Fudan University, China and Columbia University, USA. In allusion to these questions, this thesis first made a systematic analysis and summarization of the related domestic and foreign fields, then according to the theoretical basis of emotion analysis and emotion management, combine the characteristics of the process of the project management and the international software outsourcing, analyze the architecture, the environment and the characteristics of international software outsourcing projects, design a questionnaire for the process of international software outsourcing projects in various management scenarios, build emotional management model of international software outsourcing project team members, study the different emotional responses for different external event during the project implementation process of international software outsourcing project, in the mean while predict the emotional state of the project team members by the emotional transferring model made by the transition probability matrix, according to Markov’s prediction method and special designed questionnaire scene, build the emotional management model and the project implementation process emotional management processes based on emotional management model. This thesis made a lot of innovative research in the emotion analysis and emotion management of team members, and built the emotion management model based on it.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the research background and overview. The second chapter analyzes the theoretical basis of emotion analysis and emotion management. The third chapter builds a questionnaire based on the architecture, the environment and the characteristics of international software outsourcing projects, and the management scenarios and emotion expressions of team members. The fourth chapter analyzes and improves the system of the project organization, carries out a preliminary study on the emotional management model application, provides an emotional management processes for international software outsourcing projects. And the final chapter is the summary and outlook.
