| Performance assessment is one of the most important for an enterprise, especially for human resource system. As China’s reforming and opening up developed, and since China joined in the WTO, both state-owned and private enterprises try to learn the successful administration experience of the western companies. Furthermore, most of them find strategic foreign investors to change the system of their companies then make them a listed company in the stock market.At the same time they adopt international administration system especially human resource system,and lots of them have got rapid development.The author of this article takes H machine tool company as an studying example, finding out some disadvantage and problems in its performance assessment of H company through the study of target management and performance assessment and at the same time take the other company’s successful experience.Set new performance assessment system for H company for the future, and has applied the new system in the different departments and has got some good effects.The writer has got some important experience during the studying:Firstly, performance assessment is set to match people’s expects and their actual deeds. You should make the employees know clearly what is their working objects, and should let everyone take part in this management. Secondly, the results of performance assessment should have a good law to protect it to make it happen. Performance assessment is very important during the whole lifetime of the enterprise and we should make it better and better.
