A Study On The Influence Of Income And Income Justice On Subjective Well - Being

Construction of happiness has been occupied an important position in the development of our country, people’s concern for the happiness is also increasing, research on the influence of personal income on subjective well-being is gradually increasing and has become the focus of research in the field of management, psychology and economics. In the current situation of income gap, the income gap has aroused more and more discussion in China. This study not only discusses the impact of income on subjective well-being, but also makes a more in-depth analysis about the issue of income fairness. Not only hope to enrich the study of income and happiness at the theoretical level, but also hope to put forward reasonable suggestions for the current social environment in our country to improve people’s happiness level.According to the Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS) 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010 data, using multiple linear regression and hierarchical regression method to explore and analyze the influence of income of on our country dweller’s subjective well-being. Study has three main conclusions: 1. At the individual level, different income levels have different effects on the subjective well-being, in a phase of low income, the effect of income on subjective well being is stronger and most of the residents in our country are in the stage of increasing income which can lead to the enhancement of subjective well being, at the regional level, the different economic development level makes the income have different influence on the subjective well being, in areas with relatively backward economic development, income has a stronger influence on subjective well-being. 2. The impact of income on subjective well-being is positively regulated by the income-fairness, that is, the income-fairness can increase the effect of income on subjective well-being. According to the research results, we hereby put forward the following four suggestions: 1. Set up with happiness as the core of the economic system, promoting the harmonious development; 2. Pay more attention to the low-income group, ensure to enhance the overall happiness; 3. Full guarantee the fair of income, perfect the promotion mechanism of happiness; 4. Establish the correct money--happiness view, adjust the state of our mind.
