Research On Performance Evaluation Of Yunnan Tour Project Manager In China Mobile Science And Technology Museum

The itinerant exhibition of China’s mobile science and technology museum is a project for public interests, whose main function is to provide the public more chances to get access to high-quality scientific resources, broaden the channel for improving people’s scientific quality, establish widely-covered, serialized, sustainable public service system of science and technology museum, and then reach the goal of improving the scientific quality of the public, thus fully developing the radiating and leading role of mobile science and technology museum.To put “the science quality action program of the public” into practice, speed up the transmission and coverage of scientific knowledge and concepts in the remote areas, and facilitate local people’s quality.4 years since the project initiating, local governments and association for science and technology have made their efforts, local people also have showed great enthusiasm. Although the project has made a lot achievements and become more and more popular among the local people, the investment from both central and local governments have been increased and more sites grow at a faster pace, some questions still remain to resolve.For example, the lack of unified standards and norms in the process management; the lack of scientific management system; the lack of appraisal, etc. All of these lead to the fact that the staff involved is short of enthusiasm and initiative, irresponsibility, calling and sense of pressure, and there is very little effective communication and team-working spirit among different sections, restricting the further development for public projects. Based on successful experiences of other areas and the frontline practices, the author recommend that establishing scientific、effective and reasonable performance appraisal system is the key point for problems above.For constructing the performance appraisal system of mobile science and technology museum, this paper focus on two aspects. The first mainly discussed purpose, principles, system, application of appraisal results of performance appraisal system from the perspective of theory;The second aspect took the project in Yunnan for example, analyzed the current appraisal system and found relevant problems, redesigned the system including appraisal, feedback, and application of appraisal results, trying to make more reasonable and motivating, thus providing a solid foundation for performance management in China’s mobil science and technology museum.This paper focus on the performance appraisal system of administrative staff for China’s mobile science and technology museum. At first, this paper introduces the background of the selected title and research meaning, summarizes the comparative study on the literature among the performance management among public projects both domestic and abroad and the performance appraisal of physical science and technology museums, proposes the main content of study and research method. According to the relative performance appraisal theories, this paper analyzes the specific model and circumstance faced by Yunnan branch, China’s mobile science and technology museum, then probes into polices and measures for the further improvement in Yunnan branch from different aspects based on relative experiences and enlightenments of performance appraisal system from similar organizations.
