A Study On The Recreational Behavior Of Urban Residents Based On Local Attachment Theory

Place attachment is a hot topic in foreign recreational geography and environmental psychology in recent years. It provides a new perspective for the study of the relations between people and place in human geography, and it is a relatively new field of study in China. Along the trend of the development of national tourism and leisure time, starting from the view of the place attachment theory, selecting the Wuhan urban residents as the research object, choosing Wuhan River Beach Park as a case study, through the research methods of questionnaire survey and statistical analysis, this paper develops in-depth research and analysis to recreational behaviors of the place attachment characteristics of urban residents.This paper includes five parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, the current domestic and foreign recreational behavior and place attachment research situation at present, research purpose and significance. The second part is the research design, mainly introduces the theoretical framework of the paper, the selection of the case, research methods and technical routes. The third part is the core part of this paper, mainly discusses the recreational behaviors of urban residents from the perspective of place attachment theory, respectively from the two dimension research of place dependence and place identity, collect data to analysis and comparative study of cases, study the general and different characteristics of place attachment characteristics between urban residents recreational behavior in-depth. The fourth part proposes countermeasures and suggestions of the tourism development targeted the urban residents in recreational area. The fifth part is the conclusion and prospect, summarizes the main conclusions of the paper, and points out the deficiencies and hope later research can improve these aspects.The research shows, the place attachment of urban residents is the relations between people and place in recreational behavior; The place attachment of urban residents has a dimensional structure characteristics, which is composed of place dependence and place identity; The place attachment of urban residents is divided into four types: "strong attachment", "emotional attachment", "functional attachment ",and "no attachment "; Urban residents not only functional requirements, but also the emotional needs of recreational area, the relationship which is formed the emotional attachment between urban residents and their favorite recreational area must be attention in tourism planning and development.
