| With the arrival of the mass tourism era, tourism has been a part of people’s life. Transportation network and tourism spatial structure as a two-way feedback, interdependent community, both are attendant. On the one hand, traffic is the key to the development of regional tourism; transportation and transportation network development to extent promote the formation and evolution of tourism spatial structure. Meanwhile, the development of regional tourism which is improving the regional transportation network, traffic technical conditions, transport efficiency, transport accessibility puts forward higher requirements, affects the development of the transportation network spatial pattern. Therefore, on the base of relationship between the transportation and tourism, we need to further study the relationship between the county transportation development and tourism spatial structure evolution.Supported by the national natural science fund project“frontier mountainous transportation and tourism spatial structure coupling and related mechanism research”, Shangri-La city was chosen as a case to study its transport and tourism spatial structure evolution. Through the analysis of Shangri-La city transportation development pattern evolution, the relationship between transportation and tourism, spatial characteristics of tourism resources development, transport and coupling characteristics of tourism resources development, tourism spatial structure evolution pattern, here start a discussion on driving mechanism of Shangri-La city transport and tourism spatial structure evolution, put forward its optimization strategy, and giving suggestions and countermeasures of the other plateau mountainous area county transportation and tourism spatial structure optimization.The main contents are as follows:The first chapter analyzes the research background on the domestic and foreign scholars’ study for transportation and the related research of tourism spatial structure, points out the current deficiency existing in the tourism spatial structure research, discusses the method of this article as well as explains the significance of this study.The second chapter, define the county traffic, patial structure of tourism and other related concepts, summarized the tourism and transport coupled systems, transportation and tourism development of nodes and corridor effect, radiation and radial plane, sphere and network development, coordination and pull the basic theoretical analysis.The third chapter, in terms of profile, location analysis, development of tourism based Shangri-La city for analysis, and make a brief evaluation of its present situation of tourism development.Formulated according to the tutor professor presided over the Shangri-La city tourism development planning(2015-2030), to evaluate the tourism resources, evaluation of Shangri-La city tourism resources evaluation grades, and show its characteristics.The fourth chapter, from the highway, aviation, waterways, railways four aspects elaborated on the construction of Shangri-La city traffic development present situation.
