The city is the symbol of modern civilization, and it is the material space carrier of national industrialization and modernization. Urbanization is a process of agricultural population to non-agricultural population, agricultural region to non-agricultural areas, agricultural activities to non-agricultural activities of the process. The level of urbanization reflects the level of economic and social development of a country or region. Was the ladder shaped the development of our country economy, leading to the urbanization level has obvious regional difference, located in the southwest frontier of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, subject to geographical location, natural conditions and historical development level, urban development is slow, the level of urbanization is low, at present, the rate of Urbanization in Tibet is only 25.75%, far below the national urban average level. t this stage, China’s urbanization is at an accelerating stage of development, mainly rely on industrialization to promote. However, the strategic position of Tibet’s natural terrain conditions and its ecological security barrier determines the development of large scale and heavy industry in Tibet. From Tibet industrial output value structure can also be found. The secondary industry output value accounted for only 36.3 percent of GDP, the output value of construction industry accounted for 28.7 percent of GDP, namely in the stage of the construction industry output value accounted for 80%. But the construction industry is prone to saturation of the industry, so the industrialization of Tibet to promote the development of urbanization facing difficulties. The development of urbanization in Tibet can not take the traditional way of development of industry to promote urbanization, we must find a new driving force for the development of urbanization. Eighteen major reports of the Party pointed out that to adhere to the new road of urbanization with Chinese characteristics. At present, the new urbanization has become an important focus of China’s economic development, known as the future of China’s greatest potential for development". In the new period, multi- wheel drive new urbanization is becoming a trend. Not only industry, service industry should also become the main driving factor of economic development in the new period. Especially in the large and heavy industry development in Tibet region, the tourism driven urbanization is more obvious and more effective. Tourism urbanization is with a kind of phenomenon that the process of urbanization and the development of the tourism industry, tourism trends in the city caused a phenomenon, is a type of urbanization, is to develop the tourism industry as a driving force and through the development of tourism as a driving force to promote tourism destination population and Industry Agglomeration and urban space expansion and reconstruction process. This paper analyzes the development trend of China on the basis of combining the development of Tibet regional situation, select tourist towns of the article as a starting point, and analysis of the research in this area at home and abroad a number of predecessors. The main section of this article is the third and fourth chapters, analyzes the mutual effect of the tourism industry and urbanization issues and the status quo between the two analysis, forecasting two mutually reinforcing; but in Tibet from 1995 to 2014 the total tourism revenue, sorting analysis GDP, the total population of the urban population and found that the level of urbanization development level and long-term equilibrium relationship between tourism development, that tourism revenue in GDP by one percentage point each upgrade, the urbanization rate rise with 0.48 percentage points. However, two sequences Granger causality test found that the relationship between cause and effect relationship is not predictable, but tourism revenues account for changes in GDP is Granger cause changes in urbanization, the urbanization rate changes not turn tourism revenues to GDP Granger reason is unidirectional causality. The end of the paper is based on empirical analysis of the article, and for the relationship between a series of problems encountered in the development process, the authors put forward some thinking, in order to provide some of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the actual fit of the relevant administrative departments Views.
