Regarding globalization, digitization as the essential features of the new economic era, human resource management influence the vicissitudes of enterprises directly, and it has more and more important influence on enterprise's existence and long-term development. Traditional personnel management is no longer suitable for the development of enterprise, and human resource management is stepping into strategic human resource management era. Firstly, on strategic guidelines, human resource management is the management of the person that " people first"; Secondly, on the strategic objective, human resource management is for the management by objectives that "obtains the competitive advantage "; Thirdly, on the strategic range, human resource management is the democratic management about "participating in wholly "; And finally, on the strategic measure, human resource management is contingency management which uses "the systematized scientific method and people's literature and art skill".Through making and implementing human resource strategy related to business strategy, managers can rational dispose human resource, excite the staffs initiative spirit, make maximum full of staffs initiative and enthusiasm, improve the personal performance, promote the improvement of group's and firm performance, and eventually reach enterprise's overall strategic objectives.It is all important problems in organizational management to firm performance and strategic human resource management. But managers don't know clearly the relations between firm performance and strategic human resource management. And it is still a black case question about how strategic human resource management influences firm performance. From analyzing the concept of strategic human resource management and firm performance to start with, this paper introduces the domestic and international scholars' research on current situation of influence of performance imposed by strategic human resource management. Based on the foundation of forefathers' research results, the paper tries to put forward the function mechanism model about relation between firm performance and strategic human resource management. The model illustrates the organizational function mechanism and course between strategic human resource management and the firm performance in details. To further illustrate how strategic human resource management influences firm performance, the paper analyzes the relations between human resource management and firm performance from individual and firm aspect of human resource management. At last, it also recommends several general strategic human resource managementmodes which relate to firm performance.Though the importance of human resource management has been realized by some enterprises' managers in our country, the level of human resource management still remains at personnel management stage, and the basic ideas and values of human resource management haven't been deep understood by most staff. So the paper, while probing into China's strategic human resource management current situation in details, it also puts forward some suggestions on human resource management which are suitable for the reality of china.Finally, the paper analyzes a case about success in implementing strategic human resource management to promote firm performance and its enlightenment to enterprises in our country.
