Sino-us Trade Deficit And Its Impact On Sino-us Trade Relations

With the rapid development of the trade exchange of China-U.S.. the unbalanced trade is increasingly outstanding, which has affected the development of the trade relationship. Thus, the thesis is divided into four parts to elaborate the unbalanced trade problem and it begins with the variable volume of the unbalanced trade from 1990s.The first part introduces the trade relationship of China-U.S. from the resumption of the two countries' relationship and then analyzes the course of the variable volume of the unbalanced trade. The second part elaborates the causation of this trade problem: the technical reasons, political reasons and economical reasons. The third part elaborates that the unbalanced trade problem has the influence on the trade relationship of China-U.S.. First: the U.S. established obstacles in the process of China "returning to the GATT" and "entering the WTO"; Second: the U.S. strengthens the non-tariff barracks to keep Chinese merchandise from American market; Third: the U.S. requests China to revalue RMB strongly Aiming at the causation of this trade problem, China can take four counter-measures to reply to the unbalanced trade problem. That is making use of the disputes mechanism of WTO to resolve the unbalanced trade problem; establishing the coordination mechanism of the trade to standardize the calculating caliber of the trade; adjusting Chinese import and export trade structure and implementing diversified strategy of the international trade; holding the communication of the leader of China-U.S. normally to build up a dialogue mechanism between the two countries.From above, we can see that the unbalanced trade problem follows with the rapid development of China-U.S. trade. The normal trade exchange brings benefits to China-U.S.. It is with political factors that the unbalanced trade problem is emphasized and exaggerated by the U.S.. Only the two countries treat the unbalanced trade problem objectively and also adopt corresponding measures, the unbalanced trade problem can be alleviated.
