As one of the most popular methods in the world for the corporations to expand their operation and for the individuals to build their business, franchise has already had a long history of over 100 years at abroad and it has been widely applied in the operation of multinational companies. However, it has been only over ten years since franchise was introduced into China. Although it is developing rapidly in China, franchise is still at the low stage of development and there is still a great gap between the franchise development in China and that at abroad. It is still a mode and tool for the company operation and management and there still exist lots of problems. At abroad, the study on franchise mainly aims at their national special needs, so it has their own features;while at home we have very limited study. In order to accelerate the development of franchise in China, studies on the basic theory and practical operation of franchise are carried out in this article so as to help us gain a comprehensive understanding about franchise and help it develop continually, healthily and rapidly.By using such methods as the combination of theoretical study and practical study as well as characteristic study and comparative study, and with the help of mathematics deduction, chart analysis and data analysis, this paper mainly points out and analyzes the problems existing in the improvement of franchise in China so as to find new solutions, puts forward some proposals on franchise, and discusses the problem of franchise territorial expansion, that is, the problem of franchise development in the countryside in the hope of offering some proposals and reference for the franchise development in China.This article consists of five parts:Chapter One: An Outline of Franchise TheoryThis chapter mainly defines franchise, analyzes how franchise came into being and its development, and makes comparison with other business forms.Chapter two: The Economics Analysis of FranchiseThis chapter mainly analyzes the business distribution, advantages and principles of franchise in economic aspect.Chapter three: The Analysis of the Present Situation of Franchise Development in ChinaThis chapter mainly analyzes the present situation and the problem faced now of franchise development in China.Chapter four: The Plans for Franchise Development in ChinaThe development plans and methods are outlined in this chapter, taking the actualsituation at home into consideration and the development experiences at abroad forreference.Chapter five: The Implementation of the Franchise Development PlansThis chapter mainly talks about the implementation of the plans and methods forfranchise development in China as well as the problem of franchise territorialexpansion.
