Research, Enterprise Technology Innovation Strategy Based On Path-dependent

Under the dynamic competitive circumstance of today,continuous technology innovation is the precondition of attaining andkeeping competitive advantage. However, the activities of technologyinnovation are close related to the evolution of technology path. In differentstage of this process, the matters, emphases and implementing ways of theseactivities are different. Focusing on competitive advantage, the writerstudies the problem of enterprise technology innovation from a new pointaccording to the process of technology evolution.The thesis is divided into five chapters. Firstly, the process oftechnology path appearance, the mechanism of lock-in and the feasibility oftechnology evolution are analyzed based on the appearance of dominantdesign or technology paradigm and a model of path dependence in thenonlinear stage are explained. Secondly, different innovation strategiesaccording to different stages are provided: first-mover strategy, adaptationstrategy, outdone strategy. At last, the writer specially analyzes therelationship of path dependence and competitive advantage, analyzes thecommon relationship and the first-move advantage and the late-moveadvantage with path dependence.The writer hopes that the study an both develop the theory oftechnology innovation and promote its research further. Additionally, thewriter expects that this thesis will provide valuable ideas for enterprises tomake up and carry out technology innovation efficiently.
