Edi In The To Improve The Application Of The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain In China

On the basis of researching the streamlined operation model of foreignpharmaceutical supply chain and finding out what back up the successfuldevelopment of multi-national pharmaceutical manufacturers, large-scaledpharmaceutical wholesale and retail enterprises, this article summarized that ourpharmaceutical industry should be carried out the improvement in five aspects of theintensification, integration, normalization, regularization and specialization in supportof IT. By vertical comparison, this article made performance evaluation on the wholesupply chain of our pharmaceutical industry, identified the existing problems andwhat needs to improve, and reviewed the achievements in our healthcare systemreform.Considering the reality in our nation and referring to the streamlined operationmodel of foreign pharmaceutical supply chain, according to the thoughts, methodsand best practices of temporary supply chain management, this article discussed theessentiality of applying EDI in improving supply chain of our pharmaceutical industry.Then it explored how to use Internet-based EDI technology in four aspects of currentcondition, application environment, implementation process and technologyrealization, in order to enhance the efficiency of our pharmaceutical supply chain,eliminate the non-necessary mesne fees and strengthen the whole competitivecapability. In the end, this article attempted to build the EDI-based operation model ofthe pharmaceutical supply chain.
