Modern inventory involves in large variety of products. The inventory processmanagement and structure is extremely complex, and often refers to large geographical span.Therefore, the request for accurate and timely information becomes much stricter than everbefore. Furthermore, nowadays the competition between supply chains has replaced thecompetition among enterprises. Supply chain cost reduction also has become issues requiringurgent solution. Yet it is precisely because of the lack of effective means of data collectionand transmission, supply chain management meets high degree of difficulty. So there is anurgent need for a new way to change this situation so that the objectives of supply chainmanagement can be achieved.RFID stands for radio frequency identification. It uses radio waves to record medialiteracy. RFID is the hottest technology in automatic identification field. It has high potentialand prospects in materials tracking, carriers and shelf identification that require non-contactdata collection and frequent exchange of data content.The disertation made a more comprehensive summary of the relevant principles ofRFID and inventory management theory, and then did some system analysis and design jobabout the inventory management based on RFID. Finally, the paper selected tapes inventorymanagement system of CCTV as the actual case, and used Microsoft Visio and Accessdatabase as management tools and information systems technology to design the businessoperational flow charts, data flow diagrams, data dictionary and system flowchart. Finally,the paper designs the code management module about the real inventory case.
