Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, the economy of Beijing has grown up rapidly, the residential income and living standard was improved greatly. At the same time, the income distribution has changed and the residential income gap has became stand out. How to deal with this problem will affect the stable development of Beijing economy and society. According to this face, his paper chooses make research on the urban residents' income gap as a subject.Thanks to 《Statistical Yearbook of Beijing》 (1991 to 2005), this paper makes a particular analysis to status quo and changing trend of urban residents 'income gap, disuses the main factors which have influenced on Beijing urban residents 'income gap from qualitative and quantitative, summarize active and passive influence result from the income gap expand. In the end, the paper puts forwards the corresponding advice. This paper presents the following innovations:1. This paper uses lots of graphs and charts to analyst general the income gap status quo and trend from various angles compare Beijing with other domestic cities.2. By the way of the corresponding data, this paper utilizes curve regression model to imitate Lorenzo curve of Beijing urban residents' income gap and circulate the Gini coefficient and other correlative index. It indicates the changing trend.3. Basing on the qualitative analyst, the paper make a multiple regression model to analy the reasons that influence on urban residents' income gap. The result shows: GDP percentage increases > industry framework adjustment n pensions and relief funds foul social welfare and proportion of the tiptop and the lowest urban residents' income are the main reasons. These reasons explain more than 85% income gap.
