Research, Strategic Alliances Based On Economic Globalization's Baosteel

With the economic globalization and development of modern science and technology, more and more corporations realize that it is hardly to survive in the intensive marketing competition , most of them adjust their competitive relationship, replace opposite competition with cooperative competition in global market. The better way is establishing the Strategic Alliance. As an innovation of organizational relationship, Strategic Alliance has been playing a vital role in modern corporations to strengthen competitive advantages.In the past 20 years, Baosteel group actively learn from foreign competitors, introduce advanced technology and management from NSC, so as to accumulate abundance experiences in produce,management and sale fields. As a No. 1 steel-making corporation in China, Baosteel has been a member of top 500. But, facing the economic globalization, many steel-making corporations had been expanding by annexing and alliance etc. Baosteel have to obtain competitive superiority and share resources by the Strategic Alliance, which can make use of partner's capitals and technology .First this thesis analyses the possibilities and necessities of the Strategic Alliance, Based on the previous research, give out the reasons of establishing the Strategic Alliance. We also analyses the foundation of Strategic Alliance by using some theories of transaction costs,resource-based theory,organizational study,etc. On the basis of understanding the supplies,the customs,the competitors, this thesis analyses the Strategic Alliance of Baosteel , demonstrating it's profity and potential conflict, also give the possible solution.
