Abstract/Summary:
This thesis aims at studying how to promote management level of human resources in A shipping company China offices.A shipping company is a privately owned shipping line, founded in Switzerland in 1970. She has grown rapidly to become one of the leading shipping lines of the world. During recent years, her maritime fleet has grown significantly to reach the rank of the second largest carrier in respect of the number of vessel operated and the fourth largest carrier in respect of container slot capacity. A shipping company is one of the few carriers able to offer world-wide coverage with one single bill of lading; this will allow speedy transshipment goods via different hubs. The company has globally employed around 10000 staff and operates more than 160 agencies offices.With developing rapidly in marketing of China, A shipping company China offices is facing some problems in management of human resources, which is key factor for development.The first chapter is introduction, the company background and the current situation in China, and raise problems and state the studying aims. The second chapter is analyzing supply and demand in human resources. The third chapter is introducing strategies in disposing of human resources. The fourth chapter is introducing the management way to train staff. The fifth chapter is establishing salary system in order to solve the problems. The last chapter is conclusion.As said in this thesis, the problems of human resources has universality and is key factor for all enterprises. More company is facing the same problems as A shipping company. It is easier to change or improve jobs skill and knowledge of staff, however, it is very difficult to change their attitude and the pre-set perceptions. It is very difficult to build trust among staff. We can use training andestablishing salary system as management strategy to improve the situation for developing in the future.
