Recent year, supply chain management (SCM) is a superior idea and its application is popular. To implement SCM is to make a manufactory more competitive with the result of higher profits. Purchasing is one chain among supply chain which connects a company with outer organizations in its upper parts. As a starting point of product increment process, the focus on purchasing management is how to transform tradition modes into new modes to adapt to enterprise development under SCM.In this paper, The study of purchasing under supply chain management expounds the definitions of purchasing and purchasing management. Under the new management norm, the content and the status of them has changed from the respect of supply to the respect of resource that means purchasing is not only material supply but the identity, purchasing, obtain and management of resource or potential resource. purchasing strategies are a series of plan and executive measures. The paper embodied with fact of Songling corporation, and focus on the proplem of material purchasing. Applying modern theories and means of supply chain management, through reorganizing material purchasing management and procedure. Moreover, the actuality of existing supplier management for Songling corporation is studied and some problems are analyzed. Also, the necessity for applying jumped-up SRM(supplier relationship management) is demonstrated.The author wish that this paper could be used for reference to reconstruct purchasing management flow using supply chain management mode of other companies.
