U.S. has changed its global strategic focus onto East Asia for the rise of China, the regional powerful country. And another reason for the act of US is that it has made more trade with East Asian countries. U.S. urges to get involved in the process of regional integration of East Asia over the Disintegration of the Soviet Union and globalization.The regional integration of East Asia begins on the 1960's and 1970's when the economics of East Asia boomed. The East Asia countries have kept exploring the pattern and ways to regional cooperation and integration. But they were collapsed for the reject by US since US is excluded out of the patterns. After the East Asia economic crisis on 1997, cooperation system has gradually been established , ASEAN plus China, Japan and Korea, the so-called"10+3"concluded. The system has greatly pushed and promoted the cooperation and regional integration of East Asia. But the system is still facing challenges and the most powerful challenger is US. That US is excluded out of the system is the basic reason. The daily increasing effect of FTA in East Asia reduce the hegemony of US in this region to some extent. All the above has become the main contradictions between the process of East Asia integration and the intervene of US.To prevent its weakening of hegemony in East Asia, US has taken selected policies towards the East Asia cooperation system to support or reject. On the other hand, US has taken an active part in the process of East Asia regional integration in the way of trade, especially by FTA policy.There come two way-out of East Asia regional integration: 1. For the reason of the effect of US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement, which is considered as the important breakthrough of US towards the process of East Asia regional integration by FTA. Numerous FTA have emerged in East Asia, which will add up suspicion of participants of FTA and thus induce the potential interest-damaged country to sign other FTAs. And a vicious circle turns up. 2.
