Study Of The New Century, Japan, East Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Strategy

After the Asia finance crisis in 1997, the economic cooperation of East Asia started. As an important member in East Asia, Japan plays a very important role in the economic cooperation. In the new century, Japan changes its foreign trade policy and carries out the FTA strategy in the area of East Asia. This study has done the complete research on Japan's strategies on East Asian regional economic cooperation on the basis of the course and history of East Asia's economy cooperation.The study consists of four parts:Part one refers to the investigative problems and illustrates the basal concepts. The article's role is to analyze the new strategy of East Asia's economy cooperation of Japan. The basal concepts help to comprehend the article.Part two introduces the history and status quo of East Asian regional economic cooperation in the domain of finance trade and investment. Then Japan's practice in the East Asia's economy cooperation before and after the Asia finance crisis in 1997 is analyzed.Part three focuses on the backgrounds contents and characters of Japan's new strategy, making a holistic evaluate in different theoretic angles.Part four discusses the responses of some important countries towards the new strategy and the influences of Japan's new strategy. Finally, some suggestions are given to China on how to compete with other countries in the new environment.
