An Analysis Of China 's Economic Cooperation In East Asia

There is so much and complicated regional cooperation mechanism in East Asianowadays, like the competition between the Asia Pacific way and the East Asia way.In this paper, I want to answer one question related: Which one should China followor should China create more mechanism to protect and develop its national interest.From the perspective of regional public goods theory, I will firstly analyze thedemand of East Asia from three aspects: trade, investment and finance, next thesupply preference of China from international and domestic levels, and then matchsuch demand-supply relationship between East Asia and China, to find the morereasonable and scientific policy pattern of China in terms of regional economicalcooperation in East Asia. It means building ASEAN-centered regional FTAmechanism, continuing to increase its input in the field of investment facilitation,especially in the infrastructure sector, strengthening the foundation of regionalprimary financial cooperation and handling the Sino-US relationship properly in theprocess of East Asia integration. In the end, I will use RCEP as the material of casestudy to test the conclusion.
