Firms in our country have gained huge progress since our reform and opening. But there is a long distance between the international competence of our firms and of the firms of other developed country. And, with our economy blending into international economy, firms facing with expanding world markets and intense international competence. Henan province, which locates the middle of China, is the sixth most quantities in the whole GDP. But in order to become the leader of achieving "the middle of China growing up", Henan needs to bring up more firms that have international competence. ZhengZhou Economic and Technological Development Zone wants to help finns in the Zone to enhance their international competence ever since its coming into existence. The Zone wants that firms become not only the best one in Henan, but the best in China, even the best in the world. But how to evaluate the international competence of the firms? How about the international competence of the firms? What is the inferior position to participate in competition with others allover the world, and where is the problem? How to settle the problem? This article wants to look for the answer through the analysis of the problem.This article use literature research, firm investigation, system analysis, statistical analysis and other ways to complete the research. The research process insists on combining qualitative analysis to definition analysis. First, through the discuss and research of international competence of firms, we can get how to evaluate the firms' international competence and establish the firms' international competence index system. And then we can establish a model which is used to evaluate the firms' international competence by use of the analytic hierarchy process. Second, we can investigate and evaluate the international competence of firms in the Zone through the model that is established. Third, this article will summarize the problem of the international competence of the firms from the process and results of the investigation. The last, basing on the findings, the article will analyze how to enhance the international competence: From firms' point of view and from the Zone's point of view.In this research, the establishment of the firm international competence index system and evaluation system will be the vital part, also one of the most difficult parts. And also, in the investigation, how to choose the standard of the evaluation index is one of the most difficult thing, and this research will resolve this problem by the open data.In the other research about international competence allover the world, most are unilateral. Just because this research will roundly analyze and evaluate the firm international competence and establish the evaluation model of the system, this will be the innovation. And the evaluation model and the empirical research to the firms in the Zone will provide an academic way to enhance firms' internationall competence.
