Chinese corporations are still much smaller and weaker than the Multinational Corporations(MNCs) now, but the MNCs need the Chinese partner now, especially in China. So Chinese corporations are able to get the time to develop themselves by building the strategic alliances with the MNCs. The MNCs have abundant funds and high technology, which are just what we need most. To get these resources, our government has to open domestic markets to the MNCs, however, it's no good for the future. Frankly speaking, we need the alliances but we are not satisfied with the present situation. This paper reviews the literatures about the MNC and the strategic alliances, including their concept, classification, organization, formation and nature. Based on these theories, the paper aims at the strategic alliances between Chinese corporations and the MNCs, and points out four main problems, including partner, organization, trust and study. In the opinion of this paper, in the beginning of the alliances, Chinese corporations had better make a good plan to choose alliance partner and structure. Chinese corporations should pursue good compatibility and effective study in the alliances. And the joint venture shouldn't be considered as the main form of the alliances all the time.Further, this paper analyzes the problems about trust and study in the alliances between Chinese corporations and the MNCs. Three kinds of factors are found out to affect the trust between the partners and seven pieces of advice are given to improve it. At last, the learning mechanism in the alliances becomes the focus of the paper. Three kinds of barriers are sought out and a new way for better learning is designed and expected to take effect.
