China's Automobile Industry Development Strategy Of Accession To The Wto

For half a century, China's automobile industry has been established, grown larger and stronger. After its reform and opening up, China has witnessed rapid rise and obvious development and ever-improving technology in automobile industry. Nowadays China has established a comparatively complete automobile manufacturing system. However we must be clearly aware of the wide gap in the automobile industry between China and the world. What characterize and bind China's automobile industry are its lack of discipline, order and quality, especially though China's accession to WTO brings China's automobile industry many opportunities for the development and promotion of competitiveness, it also has a great and all-directional impact on China's automobile industry. China's automobile industry is confronted with grim developing situation. To secure a safe place in domestic market and further advance to the international market, the automobile industry must first and foremost enhance competitiveness, which is a problem that must be solved in China's present automobile industry.To find solutions for this problem, the writer of this thesis tends to apply the diamond theory of Michael E. Porter to the development of China's automobile industry, offer some guidelines to China's automobile industry with some successful examples, explore ways of promoting competitiveness and finally put forward some specific strategies which help deal with the present situations in China's automobile industry.
