Dacheng Hotel In Sichuan Reform, Development And Analysis Reports

The Meeting Center of Sichuan Demotic Congress which is also named Dacheng Hotel locates in the center of Chengdu city. It was built in 1996 and was funded by both central and local governments. The chief purpose of building this meeting center is to provide a fixed meeting place for Sichuan Demotic Congress and its Standing Committee, so that the member of Sichuan Demotic Congress and its standing committee can exert the rights endowed by constitution and law better.For the sake of better using the building, Sichuan Demotic Congress Standing Committee empowered Sichuan Mingri Enterprise (Group) Co. Ltd. to conduct and manage the meeting center by the name of Dacheng Hotel. As a State property contracted with outer conductor , Dacheng Hotel met many managerial problems and was inconsistent with the original purpose of founding the hotel because it could not meet Sichuan Demotic Congress and its Standing Committee's need. So, Sichuan Demotic Congress took back the managerial right from Sichuan Mingri Enterprise (Group) Co. Ltd. However, at that time, Dacheng Hotel had been like a patient with poor health: the Hardware facilities had been destroyed badly and the staff had almost got away, the hotel could not keep its receiving ability at all. In May 2002, the author was appointed to manage the Dacheng Hotel by Sichuan Demotic Congress .He had guided the staff to carry out a series of effective measures successfully, holding the mind of sincere, devoted, holding together and learning to construct the culture of the hotel. They still strengthened the managing thought that the customers who were at the first place should be serviced at pains. They kept establishing and perfecting all kinds of bylaw and job prescribe so as to assure the effective, in-order, normative running.
