I. The purpose and significance of this thesisThe county area economy occupies a foundational position in the national economy. Without the modernization of it, there is no modernization of the national economy. The northwest region of Sichuan is a poverty-stricken area and belongs to ethnic minorities, it is far away from the large or medium cities and economically developed areas. As the basic unit of the economic space, the county area economy remains the main form of economic organization and management. Currently, the results of the research about the county area economic development on this area are rare. Because of the region sparsely inhabited and traffic inconvenience, the development of the county area is the main base of the regional economic development. Therefore, when we study the regional economic of the northwest region of the Sichuan province, we must strengthen the study of the county area economic. However Sichuan northwest county economic development has been relatively slow over the years. During the more than 20 years' practice of the opening and reforming policy, with the promoting of the western development strategy, although the country area economic of the northwest region of the Sichuan province has been developing quickly, the overall level of the economy is still very low. In the northwest country area of Sichuan, the structure of economic, the development of industrial, industrialization, the advance of urbanization and ecological building still have many problems. Today, the county area economy about the northwest region of the Sichuan province is experiencing the structural adjustment in deeper level, which may bring new opportunities for the county area economic development as well as severe challenges.
